Now that I am here, how can God use me here?
You crossed a border carrying faith, memories and hopes. You’ve found work and settled your family. But one question remains: Now that I am here, how can God use me here?
Drawing on his own journey across more than thirteen countries and Philip’s encounter with the Ethiopian official in Acts 8, pastor Dr. Kwesi Gyimah helps Christians living between cultures notice the people already within reach: neighbors, coworkers, newcomers and children growing up between worlds.
Each chapter ends with simple practices — Look, Listen, Go Near, Cross, Act and Pray — for personal devotion, small groups and church leadership teams.
Five ways this book meets you where you are.
- Move from surviving to serving. From simply getting by in a new country to becoming available to God where you are.
- Go near the people around you. Neighbors, coworkers and newcomers: the “chariots” already on your road.
- Keep your heritage, open the door. Honor where you came from and still add another chair at the table.
- Raise children between two worlds. Help the next generation build a faith of their own.
- Turn your church into a sending church. From immigrant church to missionary church.

Written with diaspora congregations in mind, the book works as a four-week study for small groups, a conversation starter for leadership teams, and an encouragement for families raising children between two cultures.
